The Muslims must awaited festival, EID has been celebrated today in Nepal. EID is a short form of Eid-Al-Fitr. EID is celebrated after the completion of fasting for 1 month period. That 1 month period is called Ramdan, during which people fast from dawn till dusk. The festival of breaking the fast right after 1 month period is called EID.
During EID, muslims wear new clothes and go to masjid for prayer in the morning. They pray in congregation in an open field or hall. After the prayer, they hug each other and give blessings and eidi(eid gifts).
